Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners to Perform at Kean Theatre
Special Valentine's Day Performance
Gibsonia, Pa. - Jan. 10, 2006 - Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners will perform a special Valentine's Day concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road. Tickets are $32 for general admission or $38 for Director's Circle seating. Tickets are still available by calling (724) 444-KEAN (5326) or by visiting www.keantheatre.com. Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
The Skyliners' show will include an optional Valentine's Day dinner at 6 p.m. in The Washington Place's Mount Vernon Restaurant. Cost for dinner and the show is $48. The menu features a choice of apricot chicken over fried rice or petite filet mignon with mushrooms served with tossed salad, twice baked potato, fresh vegetables, bread stick, raspberry mont blanc and a glass of wine. The backstage bar and box office open both evenings at 7 p.m
The Skyliners trace their history back to 1958 in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Their classic songs include "Since I Don't Have You," "This I Swear," "Stardust," "When I Fall in Love" and "Comes Love" and their signature song, "Since I Don't Have You." Today, the Skyliners are comprised of original lead vocalist Jimmy Beaumont, bass and baritone singer Nick Pociask, female lead vocalist Donna Groom, and second tenor Dick Muse.
The Skyliners' concert is the first performance in the Kean Theatre's 2006 Pittsburgh Legends VIP Concert Series. Other performances include Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers on Saturday, March 4 and The PovertyNeck Hillbillies on
Friday, April 21 & Saturday, April 22. Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners is sponsored by UPMC Health Plan, an Oscar-level sponsor of the Kean Theatre, and NexTier Bank, an Emmy-level sponsor.
The Kean Theatre is open to the public and has built a reputation for its convenient location, free parking, quality entertainment and elegant setting.
